Make Your Charitable Donation Today
Today, we’re asking for your help. You, yes YOU! This charity was established in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Maria, also following Hurricane Irma – and the combination of disaster that these storms brought to the Virgin Islands, St. Croix in particular. And while the storms are long past, and the power is back on (mostly anyway), and people are returning to normal and new routines are emerging, tourists are returning to our resorts and beaches – there is still much work to be done. There are many in our community still in need of support and assistance. Many are still traumatized and barely getting by. Public school students are still not enjoying the benefit of a full day’s education, many elderly and sick are still in the states, unable to return home for care. Things still aren’t 100% and they may not be for sometime. But rather than waiting, biding our time until things get better – we’re here to do our part, to work every day to see what we can do to support the island and its residents.
This includes developing an after school program to supplement the education that so many are lacking. It includes providing funding for organizations doing good work in community development. And it also includes leveraging our strong volunteer network to be boots on the ground in supporting rebuild and recovery efforts.
But we still need funding to support these efforts and to keep operations going. So we’re asking for you to make a commitment to us, and to the work we’re doing for St. Croix. If you can, commit to a monthly contribution to Cane Bay Cares to support our ongoing work and ensure we have the operational support to meet our commitments to the long-term recovery of the island. Your monthly commitment can be as low as $10 a month or as much as $500 a month or more – whatever you can spare each month to support this work.
Donations are 100% tax deductible and go straight to supporting St. Croix. Make your donation here: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=3DEENTVXJJAMN
One of the benefits of supporting St. Croix through Cane Bay Cares, is we will go above and beyond in trying to show you how your donation is impacting the island in a positive way.
Cane Bay Cares is a service initiative of St. Croix-based Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP. Cane Bay Cares was established after three strong hurricanes, including two Category 5 storms, Irma and Maria, caused much damage to St. Croix during September 2017. The initiative has a goal of providing relief to the citizens of St. Croix. To make this possible, we have partnered with St. Croix Foundation, which is a 501c3 nonprofit that was established in 1990. All donations to Cane Bay Cares are donations to St. Croix Foundation and are 100% tax deductible.
Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP was formed in June 2009 and founded by internationally experienced business executives with many years of experience in the financial services industry. Focusing our efforts primarily in the financial services industry, our management consulting practice specializes in providing services to clients in need of sophisticated risk management models, debt collections organizations which require liquidation models and analytics, and portfolio management companies desiring a variety of services.
Since 1990, St. Croix Foundation for Community Development has been advancing holistic community development as a pathway to economic prosperity, self-sufficiency, and sustainability. Established in the wake of Hurricane Hugo, today the Foundation is one of the premier place-based philanthropic leaders in the Virgin Islands. Having served as the conduit of over $37 million private and public sector dollars invested into the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Foundation’s impact has netted national recognition in almost every priority area – from economic development and community revitalization to public health, education reform, and nonprofit development. Our mission is to encourage greater philanthropic activity, to marshal resources, and to act as a catalyst to benefit the people of the Virgin Islands.
