Wow, We’ve Accomplished a Lot, But Still More Work Ahead
We’ve successfully delivered more than 12,000 pounds of aid to thousands of St. Croix residents dealing with the aftermath of hurricane’s Irma and Maria – and we’ve done that because of the support of the whole Cane Bay Cares extended community. We’ve delivered hundreds of LUCI solar lights with more on the way. We’ve distributed thousands of pounds of food, water, cleaning supplies and other aid. We’ve delivered about 44 generators to local schools, churches and organizations. We’ve delivered nearly 4,000 freezer packs and coolers to the VI Department of Health for use with refrigerating medications and sending medical samples off island. We have also done a variety of targeted efforts, like bringing diapers to families in need, equipping other non-profits with supplies to clean up and sustain themselves, and connecting suppliers with distributors. This has been our response to the overwhelming need on St. Croix in the wake of being hit by two historic cat 5 hurricanes.
But we are committed to providing long-term support for our home island of St. Croix, and helping to address the myriad of needs being on an isolated island.
Help spread the word about Cane Bay Cares – invite your friends to like our Facebook page, check out our photos on Instagram, tag stakeholders in our Twitter posts. Share video that helps show the needs on St. Croix. There are so many ways to be part of this effort. Donating is a big one – you can help by donating yourself or by inspiring others to donate. But sharing is also important, sharing stories, sharing information – telling the world that there is a need and a cause addressing that need. And also volunteering – stay tuned on social media for opportunities to help out with your time. Each contribution helps make this a success.
We’re here for St. Croix, and we hope you are too!

Cane Bay Cares is a service initiative of St. Croix-based Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP. Cane Bay Cares was established after three strong hurricanes, including two Category 5 storms, Irma and Maria, caused much damage to St. Croix during September 2017. The initiative has a goal of providing relief to the citizens of St. Croix. To make this possible, we have partnered with St. Croix Foundation, which is a 501c3 nonprofit that was established in 1990. All donations to Cane Bay Cares are donations to St. Croix Foundation and are 100% tax deductible.

Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP was formed in June 2009 and founded by internationally experienced business executives with many years of experience in the financial services industry. Focusing our efforts primarily in the financial services industry, our management consulting practice specializes in providing services to clients in need of sophisticated risk management models, debt collections organizations which require liquidation models and analytics, and portfolio management companies desiring a variety of services.

Since 1990, St. Croix Foundation for Community Development has been advancing holistic community development as a pathway to economic prosperity, self-sufficiency, and sustainability. Established in the wake of Hurricane Hugo, today the Foundation is one of the premier place-based philanthropic leaders in the Virgin Islands. Having served as the conduit of over $37 million private and public sector dollars invested into the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Foundation’s impact has netted national recognition in almost every priority area – from economic development and community revitalization to public health, education reform, and nonprofit development. Our mission is to encourage greater philanthropic activity, to marshal resources, and to act as a catalyst to benefit the people of the Virgin Islands.
