Our Parent Company
Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP is a leading consulting firm that offers its fintech clients a competitive advantage through big data analytics and financial expertise.
The company employs a team of risk analysts, scorecard developers, marketing professionals, and business management consultants who drive measurable results. Through a collective effort, they help to lead fintech businesses out of debt, save money, develop improved products, and serve their customers efficiently.
Cane Bay Partners was born after Kirk Chewning and David Johnson visited the U.S. Virgin Islands for a friend’s wedding. They saw the islands’ potential for economic development, and in 2009, they founded Cane Bay Partners on St. Croix. Today, the partners continue to invest in the USVI’s development – not only by sustaining their business in the territory but also by contributing to community service initiatives.
Cane Bay Cares is the service initiative of Cane Bay Partners and a project of the St. Croix Foundation. Through our award-winning charity, Cane Bay Partners has partnered with more than 22 agencies to support hurricane recovery, crime prevention, education, youth development and other community service programs in the USVI.
Creating platforms for USVI youth to succeed is a core part of our giving. Cane Bay Partners supports us by continuing to contribute to our flagship, after-school program Operation Inspire. However, the company has also made substantial contributions to other entities that cater to youth development such as The World Ocean School, the Coral Reef Academy, Project Promise, The University of the Virgin Islands, and Junior Achievement USVI.
Cane Bay Cares is proud to be the mechanism by which Cane Bay Partners fulfills its mission to promote growth in the USVI.
David Johnson and Kirk Chewning also personally contribute to the community and they are both heavily involved in the St. Croix business community. They frequently write on topics such as data science, the Virgin Islands economy and business in general. You can learn more about Kirk's and Dave's work by reading their business blog or viewing the Cane Bay Partners YouTube page.
Cane Bay Cares is a service initiative of St. Croix-based Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP. Cane Bay Cares was established after three strong hurricanes, including two Category 5 storms, Irma and Maria, caused much damage to St. Croix during September 2017. The initiative has a goal of providing relief to the citizens of St. Croix. To make this possible, we have partnered with St. Croix Foundation, which is a 501c3 nonprofit that was established in 1990. All donations to Cane Bay Cares are donations to St. Croix Foundation and are 100% tax deductible.
Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP was formed in June 2009 and founded by internationally experienced business executives with many years of experience in the financial services industry. Focusing our efforts primarily in the financial services industry, our management consulting practice specializes in providing services to clients in need of sophisticated risk management models, debt collections organizations which require liquidation models and analytics, and portfolio management companies desiring a variety of services.
Since 1990, St. Croix Foundation for Community Development has been advancing holistic community development as a pathway to economic prosperity, self-sufficiency, and sustainability. Established in the wake of Hurricane Hugo, today the Foundation is one of the premier place-based philanthropic leaders in the Virgin Islands. Having served as the conduit of over $37 million private and public sector dollars invested into the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Foundation’s impact has netted national recognition in almost every priority area – from economic development and community revitalization to public health, education reform, and nonprofit development. Our mission is to encourage greater philanthropic activity, to marshal resources, and to act as a catalyst to benefit the people of the Virgin Islands.
